For handling high frequency requests, such as responding to simple customer inquiries on a website about a bill, they provide an effective way of maintaining 24/7 support for customers and triage to a live team if a person is required for the request.

There is cost savings by automating routine customer service tasks with chatbots. The results are also standardized being determined by programmed logic without human error. Availability for inquiries increases to 24/7, or as long as the bot is functioning. The final reason why to use a chatbot is to provide the ability for a reader to connect to an agent for the business quickly without leaving a message or waiting.
